Items generally covered under Medicare include, but are not limited to:

• crutches
• canes
• wheelchairs
• walkers
• commode chairs
• enteral nutrition
• blood glucose monitors including test strips and lancets
• hospital beds
• nebulizers and related medications such as Ipratropium bromide, Albuterol Inhalation solution, Xopenex and Pulmicort 

Non-covered items include*,  but are not limited to:

• bath aids
• stair lifts
• exercise equipment
• home/vehicle ramps
• adult diapers
• wigs
• surgical/compression stockings
• white canes for the blind
• hearing aids
• grabbers
• insulin and syringes
• most prescribed drugs

* Please note that a small percentage of non-covered items may be covered under certain special circumstances and diagnosis only.
